MOG GRIFFIN; Artist, Illustrator, Co-founder of the White Lube Gallery
Mog Griffin is an emerging Manx artist working in East London. Across painting, sculpture and installation Griffin transforms the invisible narratives that entangle our bodies into physical expressions of contortion and distortion.
Their figures embody a barely subdued sexuality, seeping out through a conspiratorial gaze as if inviting the viewer in on a secret submerged in pigment. These neo-cubist form tear flesh from its apparent autonomy rendierng it a site of merger, memory, and metalepsis.
Bolton wrote of their work at Corpus (2025):
“[Griffin’s] work functions to transcend its immobility; its painful ambivalence follows you so soon as your back becomes turned. Its enigmatic mark remained impressed long after visiting.”
They are also a cartoonist, illustrator and zinester in partnership with The People’s Letters (Bethnal Green) and The VOID Project (Ilford).
